MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON 15TH APRIL 2015
AT SIR NIGEL GRESLEY PUBLIC HOUSE, 8.30PM.Present:- I Moore; M Moore; A Hawtin; C Cooper; R Barraclough; A Middleton
- Apologies:-
- Minutes of last meeting – approved.
- Run in the Forest 2015.
- OK on Marshalling.
- Marshalls meet 9.00am & Adrian will register.
- Club members who might wish to run may be able to do so if enough marshals available on the day.
- Club life Membership.
- After discussion & voting it is today minuted that the current Four lifetime club members will receive the full affiliated package of membership with no charge each year starting from the next membership renewals date.[Chris Mason; Roger Barraclough; Marie York; Dave York]
- Club Membership Generally.
- Subscriptions are coming in well. After our Conkers race Malcolm will send out reminders to any outstanding non payers.
- About 85% of the membership have paid to date.
- UKA fees all paid plus B&D league as well.
- We have around £2,500 in the bank. Therefore it was mused – do we subsidise entry to any events, put members on more courses, organise more social gatherings, etc. For the next meeting we each are asked to think out a social event for the club.
- On Line Membership Payments.
- We will set this up.
- We can give people email details to get a membership form for return by email. Malcolm has the on line payment details of how to organise it – “Electronic Membership”.
[a] Inge:- She advised that Gavin Horton had resigned from the Club again “due to family commitments”
- We need to accept this resignation this time but in future if he wishes to come back he will have to seriously apply to the full club committee for approval otherwise he could be refused.
[b] Andy Hawtin & Christina Cooper:- Reference gathering up in the “Social running” section. Due to the difference in pace of running between the front runners in the group and the slowest runners, the gather up organiser, if at the front, has likely an over extended run back. It is mused that we should organise probably two more people from the group to attend a “leadership in running fitness” course so that the different run paces are covered regularly easily plus we have cover for current “Run Leader” holidays. Secretary / Chair to approach regular attenders in the group for any volunteers.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.45pm.
