{"id":2469,"date":"2015-06-27T14:08:14","date_gmt":"2015-06-27T14:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=2469"},"modified":"2015-06-27T14:08:14","modified_gmt":"2015-06-27T14:08:14","slug":"burton-midsummer-10k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=2469","title":{"rendered":"Burton Midsummer 10k"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<strong>Yellows dominant again!<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a relatively low key race on Tuesday night with only 64 completing the race but, as at the Washlands Relay, the Club dominated the field with 18 members taking part. <!--more-->There were also some tremendous performances right down the field with Andy Hawtin\u2019s 36.21 giving him 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in the men\u2019s race &amp; Christina Hawtin\u2019s 41.39 securing an excellent 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in the women\u2019s race. On a warm night there was also some excellent inter-club racing with Stuart Halsey looking good as he continued his comeback from injury with 40.42 &amp; 7<sup>th<\/sup>, Colin Mee 9<sup>th <\/sup>in 41.26, after a race long battle with Christina, who finished 10<sup>th<\/sup> overall, &amp; Matt Clemson one second behind Christina in 11<sup>th<\/sup> place. Christian Glover was also in the mix as he finished in 12<sup>th<\/sup> in 41.54 before Tom Eyre executed a superb sprint finish to edge past Steve Leafe in 14<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 16<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 42.11 &amp; 42.24 respectively.\u00a0 Tom, following his Dad\u2019s post-race refuelling advice to the letter, was also well to the fore in the burger queue.<br \/>\nIt was great to see Rob Lower performing well to finish in 43.35 in 18<sup>th<\/sup> place before Paul Glover, whose recent performances have laid down an early marker for the \u2018most improved runner award\u2019, stopped the clock in 46.35 &amp; 30<sup>th<\/sup> place. Tracey Glover wasn\u2019t far behind in 33<sup>rd<\/sup> in a time of 48.02 before Sam Skidmore &amp; Richard Ward kept each other company throughout the race to finish in an identical time of 54.08 with Sam in 43<sup>rd<\/sup> &amp; Richard, ever the gentleman, in 44<sup>th<\/sup>. Maria Allen, Alison Shearer &amp; Kerry Ward gave there all with times of 56.27, 57.02 &amp; 58.13 respectively before Linda Mason (61.33) &amp; Pauline Cooper(70.11) ran well to complete the finishers for the Club in an enjoyable night of racing.<br \/>\n&nbsp;\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yellows dominant again!
