Men\u2019s Club Captain, Andy Hawtin, ran well for 45<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> place before Simon Reynolds, who is in terrific form at present, scored valuable team points as he finished in 76<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">. The season long inter-club rivalry between Mark Harriott &amp; Andy Windle continued with the former edging it in 82<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> place to Andy\u2019s 83<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">rd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">. Andy Orme was his usual consistent self as he finished in 104<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> ahead of the long striding Colin Mee in 112<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> &amp; cross country stalwart, Adrian Middleton in 114<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">. The improving Nigel Atkins was next in 132<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> before Tom Eyre &amp; James Cobb gave everything in finishing in 180<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> &amp; 190<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> places respectively. Malcolm Moore, who continues to benefit from a good spell of injury free running, ran well for 196<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> before Paul Glover &amp; Stuart Reeves crossed the line in fairly close order in 222<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> &amp; 228<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> places. Gary Price battled hard for his 239<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> place before David Lunn, making his cross country debut in the toughest of circumstances, finished in a very respectable 273<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">rd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">The only slightly disappointing factor, and something that hasn\u2019t often happened in a really committed season, is that the Club had insufficient runners to make a team in the women\u2019s race. Having said that Tracey Glover &amp; Lisa Wright deserve the highest praise as they gave everything to finish in 38<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> &amp; 66<\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\"> places respectively in fairly atrocious conditions.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri;font-size: medium\">\u00a0<\/span>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dom at the sharp end!!
