    2. Minutes of previous meeting:-<\/strong> [6th<\/sup> January] \u2013 approved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      • Club Records scheme:- <\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

         <\/p>\n

        • This is being organised by Adrian Middleton.<\/li>\n
        • The question is \u201cwho qualifies to set a club record?\u201d.<\/li>\n
        • After discussion the following points are recorded:-<\/li>\n
        • [a] Only SDRR\u00a0 runners, running under SDRR in any race can claim an SDRR club record<\/li>\n
        • [b] 2nd<\/sup> claim runners if run in another club`s vest in an \u201copen race\u201d ?<\/li>\n
        • [c] 2nd<\/sup> claim runners if run in another club`s vest as part of a club team?<\/li>\n
        • These points were put to the committee vote and with 3 votes to 2 point [a] was approved as the rule.<\/li>\n
        • [b] &[c] were rejected as that time would be the other club`s record claim not SDRR, but [b] still open for reconsideration as appropriate.<\/li>\n
        • Runners must run in an SDRR club vest & submit their time to Adrian with an official set of results to confirm such a time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • \u00a0Run in The Forest 5 mile race plus fun Run.<\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                \n
              • First Aid sorted \u2013 St John Ambulance now.<\/li>\n
              • All licences obtained<\/li>\n
              • All signage & Tape checked out<\/li>\n
              • Water sorted [300 bottles]<\/li>\n
              • Spot prizes sorted [ Ridgeway Textiles]<\/li>\n
              • Bananas & Snack bars to be available at end of race<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n

                  • 25 entries so far \u2013 mainly un attached runners<\/li>\n
                  • Marshalling okay [Adrian information] but final SDRR teams still to be checked<\/li>\n
                  • Time keepers & \u201csweep\u201d runner booked<\/li>\n
                  • Will need 8-9 fun run marshals \u2013 likely SDRR first team main race runners can do this deed before the main race?<\/li>\n
                  • 25 marshals enough for main race & Adrian has 25 names volunteered already<\/li>\n
                  • SDRR will do a \u201cfun Run\u201d route survey at the Saturday \u201cPark Run\u201d say 2 weeks before so the marshals will know the final route.<\/li>\n
                  • We intend to put out \u201ccompetitive\u201d teams in both the men`s & ladies races<\/li>\n
                  • We are to check out the \u201csocial Running Group\u201d\u00a0 for marshalling\u00a0 – or even to be able run if enough marshals already on the day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n

                      • Potential men`s team members have already been selected from club members to give SDRR predictable best team result BUT not absolutely gospel if injuries occur to these runners before the race<\/li>\n
                      • Inge will contact Conkers to go through the race with them about 2 weeks before the race<\/li>\n
                      • Adrian mentioned cars driving in to Conkers whilst race start is queuing up \u2013 need to have a word with Conkers to ratify stopping traffic at that time for a few minutes<\/li>\n
                      • We may need a \u201cchapter 8\u201d qualified member at this point<\/li>\n
                      • Malcolm will walk the course in the week before to check all is okay ref hazards etc<\/li>\n
                      • The medical people will be stationed at Waterside Centre so mobile phone contact numbers needed<\/li>\n
                      • Adrian will print out all Marshal`s instructions the week before for issuing on the day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n
                          \n
                        • AOB<\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n
                        • Simon Reynolds has advised that it is Conkers 5th<\/sup> year of park runs in April \u2013 asks can SDRR provide a raffle prize? A \u201cyes\u201d vote was confirmed. Can we think about what to offer for discussion at next meeting?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
