{"id":3386,"date":"2017-05-15T18:36:44","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T18:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3386"},"modified":"2017-05-15T18:36:44","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T18:36:44","slug":"sinfin-10k-carsington-12-5k-and-bosworth-hm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3386","title":{"rendered":"Sinfin 10k, Carsington 12.5k and Bosworth HM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<strong>Rob\u2019s rich vein<\/strong><br \/>\nClub members were in action at a number of locations on Sunday with the majority tackling the Sinfin 10k Classic. <!--more-->Showing no ill effects from a terrific performance in the recent Paris Marathon was Rob Eaton whose chip time of 37:15 earned him a superb 18<sup>th<\/sup> place finish. Also performing well after spring marathons were John Morgan, Mark Harriott &amp; Jenny Laing as they finished respectively in 38:48, 39:46 and 40:36 and 28<sup>th<\/sup>, 36<sup>th<\/sup> and 47<sup>th<\/sup> places.\u00a0Jenny was also an excellent 6<sup>th<\/sup> in the women\u2019s race. One of the factors runners had to contend with on Sunday was a strong headwind and hot, sunny weather. Ross Clarke and James Gough, who have both made superb progress since taking up running, had to contend with these conditions for the first time and while both were expecting more should nevertheless both be pleased with their 40:55 and 42:10 showings. Probably most affected by the conditions was Phil Daws but he still performed creditably for his 44:20. Not far behind was Romain Chambard with his 44:36 and Nikki Reeves with 46:04 and 7<sup>th<\/sup> place in her age category. The closest inter-club battle was between Barry Saunders and Kevin Clarke, in his first race for the Club in 16 years. While\u00a0Kev took the honours \u2018gun to tape\u2019 it was\u00a0Barry who edged it on chip times 50:01 to 50:10. Alison Shearer and Alison Jackson completed the Club\u2019s finishers as they both gave everything in finishing in 57:21 and 72:16 respectively.<br \/>\nIn action in the Carsington 12.5k were Andy Orme and Paul Hudson. For the ever consistent Andy it was probably his best performance of the season as he made light of the undulating conditions to finish in an excellent 20<sup>th<\/sup> place in 55:40. Paul Hudson also ran well to finish in 69:38 and 143<sup>rd<\/sup> place overall out of 370 finishers.<br \/>\nTracey Glover, Paul Glover and the redoubtable David Lunn tackled the popular Bosworth Half Marathon.
