It was something of a bonanza day for Jennie as her superb 6th place overall in the women’s race also put her amongst the individual prizes. In the men’s race Rob Eaton continued his post Paris Marathon form with an excellent chip time of 01:18:48 over a relatively flat course but in warm conditions. Andy Hawtin was next in 01:23:00 with the improving Glenn Smith next in 01:28:04 and the consistent Andy Orme completing the team scoring in 01:31:47. The men also emphasised the Club’s strength by finishing 4th in the team event. Ross Clarke, who is improving with every race, was next in a distance PB of 01:32:19, edging out Simon Reynolds, who seems to be recovering well from a spring marathon double of Boston and London, in 01:34:45. Little separated Matt Clemson and Phil Daws as they stopped the clock in 01:35:34 and 01:35:58 respectively. The PB performing James Gough and Nigel Atkins were also close in 01:37:40 and 01:37:48. Romain Chambard ran well for 01:47:57 with Ray Udall returning 01:49:10 in a post London Marathon effort. Becky Moult gave everything in finishing in 01:49:46 with Colin Topliss, making a welcome re-appearance for the Club, in 02:00:34. Alison Shearer and Paul Hudson enjoyed the half marathon experience in 02:05:50 and 02:08:03 respectively with Carolyn Ife, another recovering from her marathon efforts, completing the Club’s finishers in 02:28:30.

Golden Girls The Club’s efforts on Sunday were concentrated on the latest re-incarnation of the Ramathon Half Marathon with 20 lining up on the start line with almost 3000 others.

[3

post-3417","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-race-reports","no-thumb
["GET
