{"id":3562,"date":"2017-09-03T17:20:15","date_gmt":"2017-09-03T17:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3562"},"modified":"2017-09-03T17:20:15","modified_gmt":"2017-09-03T17:20:15","slug":"wilne-10k-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3562","title":{"rendered":"Wilne 10k"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<strong>Rob\u2019s out in front!!!<\/strong><br \/>\nSunday\u2019s Wilne 10k was the latest race in South Derbyshire Road Runner\u2019s 2017 Club Championship and it was Rob Eaton who stole a march on his competitors when he stormed around the flat course in a chip-time of 36:10.<!--more--> His 47<sup>th<\/sup> place out of almost a 1000 finishers was also commendable in one of the highest quality local races. Andy Hawtin ran well for his 37:50 with Rich Miller, running in the colours of his first claim Club, Charnwood AC, also ducking under 40 minutes with 39:48. Phil Daws got his reward for his dedicated training with a PB of 41:03 keeping at bay Andy Orme who finished in 41:19. Fresh from a ParkRun PB the day before Nathan Fagan showed a terrific turn of speed to edge out Chris Mason in times of 41:44 and 41:48 respectively. Chris\u00a0had the satisfaction of taking his age group silver medal in the Midland Master\u2019s Championship, which was included in this race. The improving Romain Chambard was next in 43:02 with Nikki Reeves giving maximum effort in stopping the clock in 45:12. There was a really close battle between Ian Archer and Kevin Clarke as they finished in 46:05 and 46:10 respectively. For\u00a0Kev it was a distance PB on his return to running after a long absence. No one puts more effort into their running than MV70 Ray Udall and here his 48:51 was rewarded with the age group gold medal in the Midland Master\u2019s Championship. Malcolm Moore, injury free at present, recorded 49:29 with Karen Wilks edging out partner Robin Thorn with 54:29 to 54:39. Alison Shearer and Mary Sharp ran well to finish in 57:44 and 59:38 as did Emma Sharp, Pauline Cooper and Cath Johnstone who earned valuable championship points as they finished in 64:33, 71:54 and 77:50 respectively. The biggest cheer though was reserved for Helen Clarke as she completed her first ever competitive race in a very respectable 80:15.\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rob\u2019s out in front!!!
