{"id":3700,"date":"2018-01-03T10:09:24","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T10:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3700"},"modified":"2018-01-03T10:09:24","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T10:09:24","slug":"3700","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3700","title":{"rendered":"Belper 5k and Huncote Hash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">SDRR runners were busy during the festive period with the Club represented at the Queens Head 5k in Belper on the 27<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0December and the Huncote Hash on\u00a0 New Years Eve, writes our man on the spot, Steve Leafe.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">There were 4 runners at Belper where 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0claimer Jack Leafe headed the Club\u2019s finishers in 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place in a time of 18 minutes, followed by Matt Long in 38<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in a time of 20.49. Steve Leafe was next home for the Club in 55<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0position in 22.03, just pipping Colin Mee in 56<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in 22.17. This did give Colin first place in the MV60 category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A few days later there were a number of the Club\u2019s runners braving one of the toughest off road routes in Leicestershire, the Huncote Hash, where there were 344 finishers over a 6.5 mile course including lots of mud, steep climbs and descents, and a run along a stream made even tougher than usual after the recent heavy rain. Tom Eyre ran brilliantly to lead the Club\u2019s finishers, with his time of 52.03 earning him 50<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0position, despite a tumble into the stream late on. He was followed by Andy Orme, in 61<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0in 53.49, just ahead of second claimer Andy Lindley in 64<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in 54.04. Colin Mee was next home for the Club in 71<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0position in a time of 55.15, which earned him 71<sup>st<\/sup>position, comfortably ahead of Steve Leafe in 80<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in a time of 56.27.
