{"id":3787,"date":"2018-03-04T19:55:12","date_gmt":"2018-03-04T19:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3787"},"modified":"2018-03-04T19:55:12","modified_gmt":"2018-03-04T19:55:12","slug":"minutes-of-sdrr-committee-meeting-held-on-wednesday-28th-february-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=3787","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of SDRR Committee Meeting held on Wednesday, 28th February 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<strong>Present:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Andy Hawtin, Becky Moult, Andy Orme, Nikki Reeves and Adrian Middleton<br \/>\n<strong>Apologies:\u00a0<\/strong>Roger Barraclough &amp; Malcolm Moore (Advisors during handover)<br \/>\n<strong>Minutes of previous Meeting:\u00a0<\/strong>Approved<br \/>\n<strong>Committee roles (basic tasks)<\/strong><br \/>\nChairman:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Race director<br \/>\nGeneral managing of the club<br \/>\nSignatory (secondary) for finance release<\/p>\n<p>Captains (responsibilities apply to league races only):<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Post meet times<br \/>\nOrganise jobs at XC races<br \/>\nWashlands Relays organise teams<br \/>\nNot expected to turn up as all voluntary<br \/>\nAppoint a stand in (if required)<\/p>\n<p>Secretary:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">All communication to the external world.<br \/>\nCentral contact from other league clubs, booking of club events.<br \/>\nEnsure there is a representative at the league discussions, this does not have to be the secretary in person.<br \/>\nManaging club membership details, register onto system UKA or update details if required<br \/>\nSignatory (secondary) for finance release<\/p>\n<p>Treasurer:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Pay new member registration fee<br \/>\nSignatory for finance release<\/p>\n<p>All committee members:<br \/>\nFor a new club member give an introduction of the club including:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">How it is structured regarding training groups<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Membership type<br \/>\n<\/span>Race leagues<br \/>\nNew members ability and interests<br \/>\nIntroduce them to the run leader and group they will be joining<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nDiscussion on the registration and payment process<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">New members<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Fill in application form<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Register with England Athletics (Secretary)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Pay fees into club bank account (Treasurer)<\/li>\n<li>Pay registration fees to England Athletics\u00a0 (Treasurer)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Run in the Forest 5 plus Fun Run \u2013 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April 2018 &#8211; Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>90 main race entries so far<\/li>\n<li>6 fun runners<\/li>\n<li>All roles filled (time keepers, lead bike, marshals etc)<\/li>\n<li>Flyers are currently in print and will be distributed once received.<\/li>\n<li>Goody bags will be supplied containing banana, biscuits and water.<\/li>\n<li>Andy Orme to look into obtaining possible \u2018freebies\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Becky Moult to be Chief Marshall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Presentation evening 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Contact Conkers to book the presentation night first choice 12th Jan, second choice 19th Jan \u2013 Ade Middleton<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Club to cover costs for Disco, Hall Hire, all trophies etc. and expenses including subsidising hot buffet meal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Run Leader Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secretary to find out appropriate locations, dates and prices for \u2018Leadership in Running Fitness\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Committee to ask running group members about possible interest in becoming a Run Leader.<\/li>\n<li>Any club member interested in becoming a Run Leader should register their interest with a member of the committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>SDRR Club Bank Account<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to location (Derby) and functionality of the account, the committee voted to close the current club account by 5 votes to 0.
