{"id":631,"date":"2013-05-05T18:03:49","date_gmt":"2013-05-05T18:03:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=631"},"modified":"2013-05-05T18:03:49","modified_gmt":"2013-05-05T18:03:49","slug":"uttoxeter-half-marathon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdrr.co.uk\/?p=631","title":{"rendered":"Uttoxeter Half Marathon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<b>Chris passes the Uttoxeter Half Marathon challenge!<\/b><br \/>\nIn good running conditions a good field of 360 runners lined up on the start line of the second race in this year\u2019s Burton and District Summer Road Race series, the Uttoxeter Half Marathon.<!--more--><b> <\/b>Over what is recognized as one of the most challenging half marathon courses around, Chris Mason carried on his good form from the London Marathon to lead the 8 strong Club contingent home in 27<sup>th<\/sup> place in a time of 1.29.03. Chris\u2019s performance was also good enough to give him the 1<sup>st<\/sup> MV60 prize. Next home was Andy Orme, who improves with every race, in a very creditable 1.35.28 and 58<sup>th<\/sup> place and the very significant scalps of teammates Colin Mee and Ray Udall. At the end of a titanic struggle these two finished in 77<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 78<sup>th<\/sup> places in times of 1.37.43 and 1.37.53 respectively. Slowly edging his way back to full race fitness Roger Matthews finished next in 1.39.55 ahead of a disappointed, but injury handicapped, Gavin Horton in 1.46.16. On this occasion Gavin just got the better of Christina Cooper who performed brilliantly to finish 16<sup>th<\/sup> in the women\u2019s race in a time of 1.46.21. Still feeling the London Marathon in his legs Gary Price completed the finishers for the Club with a hard run 1.54.32\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chris passes the Uttoxeter Half Marathon challenge!
