At the committee meeting of 9th October 2013 the following points were discussed and are herewith published for members information.
Item 1
The committee has now approved the introduction of a marketing campaign to bring new blood into the club. This will be rolled out in the next few weeks and members will be encouraged to take part in seeking out possible new members
Item 2.
The club has once again bid to host one of the leicester winter league races – this is expected to be the Ashby 5 miler & will hopefully be granted. Details will be circulated when final approval by the league has been obtained. If the event goes ahead we will need a number of marshalls from within the club ranks – so watch this space!
Item 3.
The committee have reviewed the position of providing a guide runner for a blind runner who requested assistance last year at the Conkers Race and if requested again this year we will now be able to provide this facility.
Item 4.
The current financial position is healthy and it has been possible for us to provide resources to train a number of marshalls in Traffic Management as required under new UK athletics notes.
