Two SDRR runners tackled the notoriously hilly Meerbrook 15k on Saturday.
Racing over his longest distance yet, in hot conditions, Jack Leafe found the going tough but still finished 70th out of a field of over 200 runners in a time of 1 hour 14 minutes and 16 seconds.
Father Steve Leafe saved some energy for the final major climb and went past Jack after around 11k, finishing in 59thplace in 1 hour 11 minutes and 57 seconds to gain family bragging rights for the first time for a long while!
