At the committee meeting of 28th August 2013 the following points were discussed and are herewith published for club members information
Item 1
New members Processing & Advertising.
Andy Hawtin has been leading a small group developing a series of communications tools that will assist the club in approaching runners in general to try out the club & hopefully boost our membership considerably.
The final documentation & paperwork was reviewed at this meeting & will be reported on in due course. For more details see Andy.
Item 2.
The committee has started the process of preparing for two races that the club will organise in 2014. The first should be the Ashby 5 as part of the LRRL [ February], and the second will be a repeat of the Conkers 5 as part of the Burton & District summer League.
More details & information about marshalling etc will be published later.
Item 3.
The club has taken the lead locally in setting up a traffic management course for marshalls in local events. All our places were filled but anyone wishing to get training of this sort in the future should talk to Inge Moore and she will be pleased to sort something out.
Item 4.
The committee reviewed the current financial position of the club and were satisfied that sufficient funds are currently in hand to meet all our obligations & planned expenditure.
