It was another busy weekend for the Club’s runners with some terrific performances in conditions not experienced for some time. Leading the way was Rob Eaton in the Paris Marathon with his tremendous 02:40:00 being the Club’s fastest and third sub 3 hour marathon this month. Also well worthy of mention are Gareth Watkins excellent 10th place finish in the Derby 10k in 34:24 and Andy Hawtin’s 4th place finish in 29:40 in the Club’s own race, the ‘Run in the Forest 5’. Alun-Lloyd Thomas is in a rich vein of form at present and he continued this in the second Club Championship race of the season, the Markfield 10k.
