Worthington 5

Mercifully, while hot, it was a few degrees cooler for the Worthington 5 than for other recent races. This latest leg of the Burton and District Summer League over a flat ‘out and back’ course along the Cloud Trail was significant in the Club’s continued domination of both the individual and team prizes. St Giles, Gate Gallop 10k

Burton 10

Doddle for Dave!!!!
There was a great turn-out of 43 runners from the Club for the latest leg of this year’s Burton and District Summer League (BDSL), the Burton 10m. In very hot and sunny conditions both the Club’s men’s and women’s teams consolidated their positions at the top of their respective leagues and for the men, it was the third year running that they had won the team prize at this race. Bosworth XC and Retford HM

Consolidation is the name of the game!!!
26 runners from the Club made their way to the Bosworth Battlefield site for the final race in this year’s Derby Runner XC Series. While injuries, illness and competing priorities meant that a number of the Club’s highest finishers were missing it was the strength in depth that looks like it consolidated the mixed and men’s team in 4th place in Division 1 and the women’s team in a superb 2nd place in the 2nd Division of the women’s league.
