14th & last race
We’re almost at the end of what’s been a good racing year, which made it easier for me to count up that we hadn’t identified the 14th & last race. We were looking for a longish run as late in the year as possible that didn’t clash with the Derby Runner XC fixtures. Given that we’ve not had a 10 miler this year I’ve gone for the Sneyd Christmas Pudding Run on the 8th December 2013. Three of us did it last year & others may have done it before. The venue is near Bloxwich, so travelling wise not a million miles away. The race was well organized over a relatively flat 2 lap course. The Championship table has been updated after the Shelton Striders 10k & we now have 10 runners who have reached the qualifying number of races. Most qualifications are in Divisions 1 & 2 and we now who have 2 in Division 4 who have qualified. In Division 3 no one has yet qualified although Gary is almost across the line. There are others in all divisions who can still take the prizes so….. keep on competing. Still to count, in addition to the Sneyd 10 miler, are any Parkrun performance from & including 3rd August until 30th November 2013 and the Shepshed 7. In the first 2 months of the Parkrun window 29 Club members had registered a Parkrun performance with 10 of these performances being PBs.
