Today’s Sneyd 10 was the 14th & last race in this year’s championship. The tables have been brought up to date. 15 runners completed the requisite number of races. A terrific effort across a long season. The top two divisions saw the most qualifiers with 5 in Division 1 & 7 in Division 2. Division 3 saw the least qualifiers with Gary Price romping away with the title virtually unchallenged. In terms of today’s race it was mainly about some terrific individual PBs with the only two positions that could have been changed, the runners up spots in Division 3 & 4, not affected because Dave & Cath unfortunately couldn’t make the start line & were left on 6 completed races. In many ways the bulk of the championship races for 2014 are predetermined by the leagues we enter as a club with all Leicestershire Winter Road Running League & the Burton & District Summer League races likely to be included (apart from those organised by SDRR AC & Washlands Relay). Be good to get any feedback on this year’s championship. What do people think about the inclusion of a Parkrun time this year? From my perspective I think the Parkrun window was a bit too long.
