Presentation Night

All the Glittering Prizes……….
The awards night for 2013 took place on Saturday 1st February 2014 at the new venue of Conkers YHA. There was a great turn out of 48 members & guests to see the following awards being made:Division 1 Winner & Overall Men’s Champion: Andy Hawtin
Women’s Overall Champion:Christina Cooper
Division 1 RU: Chris Mason
Division 2 Winner & Most Improved Runner: Shane Chapman
Division 2 RU: Paul Chapman
Division 3 Winner: Gary Price
Division 4 Winner: Carolyn Ife
Division 4 RU: Roger Barraclough
Club People of the Year were Karen & Graham Dayman & Andy Orme for the terrific work they did for the Club in 2013.
There were also surprise Lifetime Membership Awards to Marie York & Chris Mason for their valuable contributions over a number of years.
In addition to the well earned certificates awarded to the athletes who completed the requisite 7 championship qualifying races there was also a special award made to Steve Fowler for his terrific performance in achieving 7 consecutive PBs in the Conkers Parkrun.
Proving what we already know that runners can eat for England everyone made sure they got value for money from the 3 course meal provided by the venue. Thanks to the committee for organising the night, particularly Inge for sorting the venue out & finally thanks to everyone who turned up. I’m sure if anyone has any feedback on the night this would be welcomed by the committee.
