Presentation & Anniversary Evening – Important Message

As most people will be aware from Inge's messages, tickets are going quickly for this year's event & it promises to be a terrific night. You may not be aware though that that this year the event is supported by an important sponsor, TRASU Support Ltd. David Lunn explains, in his own words, why the company has teamed up with the Club to support the event. 
“My personal involvement with the Club began in 2013 at a time when I was seeking guidance with my running training.  Since then I have persevered and improved my running ability and physical strength. In addition to charity fundraising for other organisations I was keen to support a cause that’s personal to me.  Part of my motivation to run is driven by the dedication of the trainers and fellow runners who turn up every week to offer help, advice and to share running stories and I wanted to recognise that commitment. Whatever level you are and however you take it on, running is a unique test of stamina, determination and personal discovery.  The encouragement I’ve received from South Derbyshire Road Runners has motivated and inspired me to achieve far more than I ever expected to and this is my way of saying thank you.”
