2014 Presentation Evening & 30 Year Anniversary

A Night for Winners & Shakers
Conkers, Waterside on Saturday night was the venue for the Club’s Annual Presentation Night & 30th Anniversary Celebration. It certainly was a night to remember with Evergreen winning the unofficial title of mover of the night & Roger confirming that when it came to ‘head banging’ there was no one better. The main event though was the awarding of prizes after, what for the Club & individual runners, has been a tremendous season   Members old & new saw  the main prizes presented by two of the Club’s oldest members Bill Wade JP & Graham Dayman & David Lunn, a Club member and Managing Director of TRASU Support Ltd., who kindly provided sponsorship towards the event. Prize winners were:
Div 1 Winner & Men’s Club Champion 2014: Dominic Sharman. Runner Up: Chris Pearson
Women’s Club Champion 2014 & Most Improved Female Runner: Christina Cooper.
Div 2 Winner: Chris Crosby: Runner Up: Andy Orme
Div 3 Winner: Ashley Parkes, Runner Up: Gary Price
Div 4 Winner & Joint Most Improved Male Runner with Chris Hughes: Tim Argent, Runner Up: Laura Storer.

To highlight what a competitive season its been 22 runners received certificates for completing the requisite number of Championship Races with as many receiving certificates for their efforts in achieving National Standard Times. Thanks in particular to Adrian Middleton for organising this. Well done to everyone concerned!
