Christmas Inter-Club Team Challenge

On the last Wednesday Club night of 2015 on 16th December, we'll be organising an inter club team challenge. The idea is that each team will consist of a pre-selected runner from each of the 3 groups (may need to amend this slightly to accommodate everyone).Everyone will start at the same time & the winning team will be the one with the lowest aggregate time. Will use the 4.06 mile route as for last year’s ‘handicap’ races i.e. start on the corner of Nadins Way by Sainsbury’s roundabout down Nadins Way, along Cadley Hill Road & left on the A444 (Burton Road), left at Toone’s roundabout to the Drum & Monkey roundabout, through the Castleton Park Estate & then right on Hearthcote Road to finish outside the GBLC . It’s intended as a fun event with seasonal fancy dress encouraged followed by presentation of the extensive prize list in the Sir Nigel Gresley. Will be able to manage entries on the night but it would help considerably in sorting out the teams properly if you could let me know in advance (email, verbally, Facebook etc). With entries on the night may have to handicap to get the balance right. Want as many people as possible running but if you can’t run & fancy marshalling please let me know. Last thing we may not be able to marshall every point so take care crossing the road &, as usual with Club winter activities, wear reflective clothing.
