After last year’s race on the hottest day of 2015, Kat Smith and David Lunn decided to go back and have another go at the challenging but pretty Hungarton 7 course on a day offering slightly cooler conditions.
David continued in his recent form of turning up just in time for the race, starting from the back, having forgotten his watch and still in his work socks! Both agreed that the hills definitely felt a lot less steep than in the conditions last year, although there were definitely less sheep watching too!
David was the first back for the club in 426th position (60:52), smashing last year’s time by nearly 10 minutes, and Kat finished 476th in 65:12 – more than 15 minutes faster than in 2015.
