PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE CLUB AGM WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY 2017 AT THE TOWN HALL, THE DELPH, SWADLINCOTE (NEXT TO THE SIR NIGEL GRESLEY PUBLIC HOUSE) AT 8:30PM.
ONE OF THE FIXED AGENDA ITEMS IS THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS TO THE COMMITTEE. IF YOU WISH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A SPECIFIC POSITION FOR THE 2017 SEASON TO LET THE CLUB SECRETARY KNOW IN WRITING 14 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING. PROPOSALS SHOULD BE WITH THE NOMINEES APPROVAL AND SECONDED.
THE CLUB MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE POSTS CURRENTLY CONSIST OF:-
CHAIRPERSON, CLUB SECRETARY, TREASURER & MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, WOMEN’S CLUB CAPTAIN & REPRESENTATIVE, MEN’S CLUB CAPTAIN & REPRESENTATIVE
ALSO, AS USUAL, THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL BE DECIDED AT THIS MEETING AND THESE WILL THEN FALL DUE IN MARCH.
THE PROPOSAL FOR A SECOND CLUB NIGHT WILL BE DISCUSSED AND DECIDED UPON. PLEASE READ THE PROPOSAL BEFORE THE MEETING.
ANY ITEMS OF ‘ANY OTHER BUSINESS’ FOR INCLUSION ON THE AGENDA MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY IN WRITING NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, 15TH FEBRUARY 2017.
PLEASE TRY AND ATTEND THIS AGM AS IT IS YOUR CLUB AND YOUR NEEDS ARE FOREMOST IN THE COMMITTEE’S WORK.
PROPOSAL FOR A SECOND CLUB NIGHT
Earlier in the year it was proposed by a member that the Committee consider offering a second Club Night. This was discussed by the Club Committee who agreed to put forward the following revised proposal for consideration by members at the AGM.
Revised proposal from the Committee is:
A second Club Night on a Friday evening from 6-7pm.
Session: Steady Run
The Wednesday Club night would remain as the structured session. The club now has enough qualified Coaches/Run Leaders to be in a position to offer this extra night.
A rota of Coaches/ Run Leaders would be set up to ensure that we have the minimum of 2-3 qualified staff available each Friday night.
Green Bank Leisure Centre has been approached and they are happy for SDRR to meet there for another night. They do not want SDRR to meet on consecutive nights.
