The Spring weather couldn’t have been better for those SDRRs taking on the Loughborough Half Marathon.

In a change to previous routes, the course took in parts of the Shepshed 7 circuit. Unfortunately, this meant tackling a couple of Derbyshire-sized hills, all made worse by having to do them twice. First back for the club was Glenn Smith, 56th in a time of 1:33:26 -the illusive ‘sub-90’ having to wait a little while longer. Next in was Paul Glover, 169th in 1:47:21, followed closely by Tracey Glover, 197th in 1:49:43. Dave Lunn added another half marathon to his ever growing tally finishing 365th in a time of 2:02:13. The weary runners were greeted with a round of crepes at the finish to get their recovery off on the right foot.
