There were 4 SDRR runners racing at the Spire 10 mile road race at Chesterfield on Sunday, with everyone performing well over the hilly course which attracted 240 runners.
Steve Leafe was first back for the club finishing in 36th position in a time of 1 hr 11 minutes and 47 seconds. Tracey and Paul Glover had their usual close battle, with Tracey just coming out on top in a time of 1.21.31 for 85th place, while Paul finished in 88th position in a time of 1.21.41. Race regular Dave Lunn made light of the fact that he’d run the Black Country half marathon the day before to record a course personal best by over 4 minutes in a time of 1.32.57 which gained him 165th position.
