Heading up to the Peak District last Sunday, four members of SDRR took on the challenging Buxton Half marathon. The route which was ran in wet and gusty conditions saw a field of 420 runners take on a significant 1,500 ft of climb over the 13.1 mile road race.
First home for SDRR was Mark Harriott finishing in 38th place in a very competitive field with 1h 35m 33s securing him 3rd MV50. Following closely behind and adding to an impressive season of half marathon results was Dave Hobbs in a time time of 1hr 39m 32s for 65th place. David Renshaw was the next home in 2h 20m 51s taking 304th with DavidLunn making a return to Buxton in 2h 20m 51s and an impressive 351st position.
