Andy’s on the up!
On the 9th June Andy Orme continued his excellent recent form with a superb 25th place finish out almost 340 starters in the Carsington 7.76. Around the perimeter of the water Andy covered the challenging course in 55.10. Following other excellent performances recently, particularly in Parkruns, Andy puts his improvement down to acquiring a recent liking for sushi. Showing that he’s starting to recover from the London Marathon, Gary Price also ran well for an 87th place finish in 62.40. Making their competitive debuts for the Club, Sam & Mark Skidmore gained valuable experience in recording 70.05 and 84.52 respectively.
Chris Mason was slightly afield on 16th June when he took part in the British Masters 5k Championship in Horwich. Over a 3 lap town centre course Chris finished in 19.04, 73rd place overall & 6th in his age group in a very competitive race.
