  3. Run in the Forest 2018.
  • To be set up for 15th April 2018.
  • All details of organisation to be retained as this year.
  • Entry fee to be kept at £8 again.
  • Licences organisation to be set in motion
  1. Prediction Run dates 2018
  • 26th July – Andy will organise
  • 23rd August – Malcolm will organise
  1. Presentation Night 2018
  • Agreed as to be at Conkers again
  • Conkers set up the facilities for us well so no problems in re booking.
  • Date:- 13th January to be proposed to the Conkers people
  • If that is not convenient to them, we to try for 20th January as an alternative.
  1. Relays – Washlands & Ticknall
  • Andy advised that there were 61 members interested in the Washlands event [22 ladies & 39 men]
  • He has teams organised – any people showing “later interest” can only be put on a “waiting list” in case of injuries etc.
  • Race limit is 250 people, but possibly could go up to 300 if circumstances allow such.
  • Could be mixed starts for ease of organisation
  • SDRR will pay the organisers on the night – Malcolm will have the cheque book.
  • Laura advised that SDRR has 8 teams registered for the Ticknall event, which about a third of the race entries to date.
  • Pay on the day
  1. Second Club Night
  • The first outing went ahead last Monday.
  • A rota is to be set up for run leaders on these evening runs.
  • There will be about 3.5 – 4mile run distance and about 5.5 – 6mile run distance options on these run sessions.
  • The first session was well liked by all attendees.
  • “Away” venue Monday runs to be considered once the standard home runs are fully established as regular sessions.
  • Club secretary will get copies of the 20+ route maps formulated for the “Social run group” to Andy so he can organise these to be put on electronic record for ease of use within the club run set up.
  1. Any Other Business
  • Malcolm advised that new improved Cross Country Gazebo is officially now on order.
  • The secretary let it be noted that on the club website the “home page” has still not been reinstated now that the “Run in the Forest” has taken place. Andy will sort action to do such.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.15pm.
