Reproduce below a note from Dr Dave Lodwick, Chair of the LRRL, that has been widely circulated around the league's constituent clubs. Difficult situation but not that helpful for us because West End 8 clashes with the Burton 10, a race I know a number of Club members have already entered.
‘At the delegates meeting in January (before the cancellation of the Ashby 5) it was agreed that if we lost a further race then the West End 8 (which was to be run as a closed summer league race) would be added to the Winter League and individual prizes would be awarded on the basis of the best 4 out of 5 results. This leaves us with the normal 6 Summer League races (starting with Swithland) and the best 4 results to count.I apologise that, in all the confusion and uncertainty over whether races were going ahead, that this was not communicated more clearly. I would be grateful if you could pass this information on to your runners and also, most importantly, remind them to keep their numbers for the West End 8 in May’.
