Race no handicap for Ashley!!
A superb 47 runners took part in last Wednesday’s annual handicap race and it was Ashley Parkes, proving he’s fully recovered from an injury that has hampered his season, who led the way home. At a presentation ceremony in the Sir Nigel Gresley afterwards prizes were awarded to the first 5 finishers to cross the line as follows:
1st Ashley Parkes, 2nd Craig Dolman, 3rd Laura Storer, 4th Sam Skidmore & 5th Lisa Wright.
A special prize was awarded to Nikki Reeves who confirmed what the handicapper ignored, that she hasn’t run for ages. Again, a special thanks goes to the marshals (Malcolm, Dave, Wendy, Kerry, Mike & Inge) who made sure everyone got round the 4.06 mile course safely. Unfortunately, at the finish we couldn’t record everyone’s times & positions which is either a testament to the accuracy of the handicapping or an indication that I can only do one thing at a time. The results we did manage to record are attached & if anyone can help fill in some of the gaps please let me know. Handicap14c
