Four members of the club competed in the Erewash Triathlon on 16 August. The race consisted of 400m pool swim, 10 mile bike and 3 mile run. The weather was warm and sunny, just right for a triathlon.Daniel Towns came in 126th with times of swim 11.05 bike 29.10 run 23.59, next was Carolyn Ife in 253rd with swim 13.25 bike 33.52 run 31.20. Pauline Cooper was 319th with swim 18.31 bike 42.02 run 35.27 and Cath Johnston in 324th with swim 19.10 bike 49.12 run 39.53. A great effort was made by all and Cath and Pauline declared it the nicest triathlon they have done so far.
