Directions: Allestree Park is north of Derby on Duffield Road (A6), just inside the Derby City limits.
Parking: VERY LIMITED  – Main car park min 3 in a car, cars with tents and officials
There are three small car parks that can be used:-

  1. The main car park, which is accessed from the A6 Duffield Road. This is closest to the Start/Finish and tents area. DE22 2EU
  2. There is a small car park at the Evergreen Club on Cornhill.
  3. There is another small car park on Woodlands Road, on the Western side of the park. DE22 2HH

There is some street parking on Main Avenue, which has a pedestrian entrance to the park. A
Course: 2 laps around the perimeter of the park; comprising grassland tracks, long uphill, woodland and about 1000 m of compacted limestone path. Very slippery in parts.  About 6 miles total.
Time: Junior race approx. 10.30am, one or two laps of field – 1 & 2 Miles
Main race: start 11am (note-all runners will start together-no split start for this race);
Footwear: Off-road shoes would be preferable. Extensive compacted limestone paths may mean spikes are uncomfortable. 
Toilets, showers and changing: Golf club café toilets could be used in emergency!
Results:  The Red Cow, St. Edmunds Close, Allestree, DE22 2DZ is about ½ mile from park main entrance, or 100 m from the Evergreen Club.
